Associate – Infrastructure & Energy (Andean Region)

About the role

IDB Invest is seeking an Associate to support the Infrastructure and Energy Division within the Andean Group. The role will focus on developing and delivering projects in transport, water, sanitation, energy and social infrastructure across Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain client relationships in the Andean region.
• Build a pipeline of projects through upstream sector development and project identification.
• Assist in transaction execution, including loans, guarantees, debt capital markets, equity and quasi‑equity instruments.
• Support resource mobilization and technical assistance for project implementation.
• Coordinate with Country Representatives and Delivery Unit Directors to ensure alignment with IDB Invest’s strategic objectives.

Required profile

• University degree in economics, finance, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong interest in infrastructure and energy investments in Latin America.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a multicultural, multi‑country environment.
