Senior Software Developer – Hybrid (Quito)

About the role

Stack Builders is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our hybrid team in Quito. You will work on high‑impact products and platforms, using modern technologies while collaborating with a supportive, growth‑oriented community.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust software solutions in production environments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver innovative features for clients.
• Apply best practices, SOLID principles, and design patterns to ensure clean, maintainable code.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to improve productivity.
• Participate in code reviews, mentoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Advanced spoken and written English.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Python expertise in production settings.
• Experience with at least one additional language such as TypeScript, JavaScript, or Haskell.
• Solid understanding of software systems, troubleshooting, and architecture.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
